Baby Pod
Our Baby Pod is a beautiful calm space with a dedicated and nurturing staff team, each baby receives attentive, personalised care and support throughout their day. It has a separate changing area directly off the baby pod.
With a staff-to-child ratio of 1:3, ensuring plenty of meaningful interactions and close supervision. A wide range of age-appropriate resources—including treasure baskets, sensory toys, and cosy nooks—are available to stimulate curiosity and development. As babies grow, our environment and resources are thoughtfully adapted to support their individual progression.
The baby pod has easy access to a sheltered inner outdoor courtyard for daily fresh air, outdoor play and movement experiences. This is complimented by daily walks in and around the leafy Westend of Glasgow.
Creative experiences such as arts and crafts and messy play are offered encouraging sensory exploration and early expression. To support strong partnerships with families, we complete a detailed Care Plan when your child starts and work closely with parents throughout the year to ensure we’re meeting each child’s unique needs.
Active Toddlers
Our 1-2 years Active toddler pod room is a large, bright and airy space that benefits from free flow access to the sheltered outdoor courtyard. The room is planned meaningfully so that it offers dedicated spaces for active movement, group and individual learning as well as a cosy book nook for literacy and storytelling.
Our baby and toddler pods free flow into each other’s spaces frequently which helps makes transition a smooth process.
A 1:3 ratio with a nurturing experienced team ensures that individual needs are catered for in a holistic way.
A separate area is used for both messy/sensorial activities and meal times. It is a space that supports independence as well as enhancing toddler’s natural curiosity.
Mini Montessori
Our 2-3 year old Mini Montessori room is a vibrant, inspiring space designed to foster independence, imagination, and learning. Our free-flow open door model with our 3-5’s Montessori classroom is based on Montessori principals and current best practise in early years. It allows children to self-select activities promoting confidence and child-centred learning. Learning alongside older children who inspire them by role modelling.
Introduction and guidance to age appropriate Montessori materials, children are encouraged to follow their interests and explore a wide range of activities throughout the day.
Daily fresh air, play and movement is facilitated through free flow access to our large rear garden space aswell as nature walks to parks in our local area such as Kelvingrove and attractions such as the Tall Ship and Art Galleries.
With a ratio of 1:5 our experienced Mini Montessori staff team, work collaboratively with children and families providing the highest standard of professional childcare and education.
Montessori Classroom
Our beautifully equipped 3-5 Montessori classroom is a large bright space with open doors for free flow into our 2-3 Mini Montessori classroom. It is prepared environment that is based around our philosophy that children are inquisitive learners and given the freedom to investigate and learn in spaces which enables them to become wonderfully, dynamic learners. With a ratio of 1:8, our experienced staff and Montessori teachers are able to support each child’s individual development, which incorporates the Montessori curriculum and philosophy.
Daily fresh air and movement is facilitated by free flow access to our large secure back garden which has zoned areas for climbing safely, messy play, sand pits and loose parts play. A large decked area can be accessed directly to bring the classroom outdoors aswell as a covered area that facilitates play during wet weather and sheltered play from the sun in the summer months.
Our experienced staff team works closely with families to encourage and develop your child’s individuality, and to enhance self-confidence and respect for others, in preparation for school and beyond.
